"transCalculator Lite" is a calculator app made for the iPhone/iPod Touch.
When entering numbers, each entry is displayed on a new line so that if you accidentally enter the wrong number you can go back to a previous line and easily fix it without having to hit "clear" and start over. In addition, it will display the current calculated value after each individual line so its easy to go back and make sense of a long list of operations. (When the calculator type is set to "basic", you can only use the standard "sequence" method of input—see below)

- Two methods of input
On a normal calculator, when inputting numbers the order of operations (ie, multiplication takes priority over addition) is not taken into account. It will only calculate based on the sequence in which you enter values, and so its possible to get an incorrect answer if the numbers are not entered in the correct order on a regular calculator. transCalculator of course supports this standard method of input, however it also has a second method which calculates with respect to the order of operations.

- Parantheses
For those who choose the order of operations method for input, sometimes youll find parantheses necessary. Naturally, transCalculator supports parantheses, and numbers inside sets of parentheses will be calculated before other operations are applied. The app handles numbers inside parantheses as an "expression group", and these expressions can even be saved and used again later.

- Descriptions
You can give expressions names or write small notes about them. For example, if you buy something, add the price to your budget or some other calculation, and then write in the name of the item you bought, this can be a helpful reference in the future. This way, you wont have the problem of looking at that entry in your calculation later on and wondering "now what exactly was this number for?"

- Saving your calculations
You can save entire lists of operations and calculations. For example, you can start a new calculation, put in some values, stop and save, and then come back to it later and input more. This feature also makes it possible to check your calculations later on. In addition to being able to save the entire calculations, you can even save the individual expression groups and use them again in future calculations. The calculation as a whole can even be saved as a single expression group.
